Jen - A gorgeous and sexy physical description of Merlin’s magic. Love it!

Emmy -I am a HUGE fan of this fic. What I love most was how Merlin came to life through his music and and how it also brought Arthur’s love and passion roaring to life.

Jen - There’s no way that no-strings-relationships-only Harry couldn’t fall in love with sweet, barista-slash-actor Louis. A few bumps in the road, but it’s a sweet and sexy o/s.
Twilight, E/B, AH Complete
Corie - I spent a day with this story and just fell in love with the characters and their struggles. Bella is a misguided girl who in an act of love does something outrageous by looking for a man to get her pregnant. She thinks she's found the perfect turkey baster in Edward Cullen, only things get complicated when they fall head over heals for each other. What could be bad about that you ask? Edward doesn’t know he's being used as a turkey baster, enter drama, and heartache. The physical chemistry written between these two is off the charts. Beautifully written in the author's unique style. I just really enjoyed it.
Game of Thrones, Sandor Clegane/Sansa Stark, Complete
Corie - This may be one of the best GoT fic’s I’ve read, period. I can’t tell you how beautifully written these characters are. I was blown away. There is pain, angst and some of the most loving scenes. The sensuality between The Hound and Sansa is startling and to see how powerful a story can be in just 3 chapters is breathtaking. I say if you love these two characters this is a must read.

Chele This fic is even more powerful on the second read-through with the canon fresh in my head. Sexy, strong and intense.
Twilight, AH, E/B, Complete
Corie - I had so much fun with this funny, sweet story. I was laughing out loud multiple times. Bella goes on tour with her brother’s band as their Merch girl, where she meets the lead singer of the headlining band and hijinx ensue. I loved each character and the relationships between them. It’s hot and sweet and just fun!
Star Trek - reboot, Kirk/Spock, Slash, Mpreg, Angst, teens
Posy - I’m supposed to be writing a novel for Camp NaNoWriMo this month, but I’ve spent the last two days reading about Spock’s pregnancy at the hands of Kirk, thanks to the lovely rec by Melooza on my twitter feed. DON’T run away. Please. *begs* I know mpreg isn’t something a lot of people read because it is “not realistic” or whatever. Well, who knows what Vulcan biology is really all about? This is a beautiful story that has been a WIP for awhile. You have 40 chapters plus a few interludes to start with. The main smut is in chapter one, but there are flashbacks to it which are so sweet and tenderly remembered, and I’m super duper hopeful that there may be more in the future. Far, far, far beyond the smut, this is a brilliantly told story of another world’s culture, the social stigma of teen pregnancy on that world, the forced maturity that happens when becoming a parent, Spock essentially being alone and wishing the blond haired dad who helped create this life were involved, and then the consequences that happen years later when Spock and Kirk meet at Starfleet Academy. I have honestly not been able to do anything but read this, even though I supposed to be writing an amazingly hot wank scene in my book. Haha. Run. Don’t walk toward this mpreg because you will not be disappointed in how rich this story is told. 

Chele - I’m not going to lie, I stumbled upon this fic several months ago seeking only Kirk/Spock smut of the most delectable variety. As Posy mentions, this story delivers on that gratifyingly early in the story, and it is intense, and almost hyper-real. The big surprise, however, is that this story has managed to hold my attention through the following thirty or so chapters (Don’t check the word count, you don’t want to know, and once you start, you won’t care) with the aftermath of this intimacy. I am ACHING for these two to find their way back to one another, but meanwhile, I’m riveted to the updates by the intricate plot and multi-faceted characters.

Jen - A fitting and explosive climax *cough* to Bella’s journey through female sexuality!

Teal - I just...UNF and more UNF. That’s all I’ve done through this story because JFC, there’s never been a fic like this. I want to roll around in allllll the loving.
Harry Potter, AU, O/S, Draco/Hermione
Jen - Draco spent years secretly pining for Hermione, sending the Order helpful information via anonymous letters. It takes some time, but as Hermione is caring for the badly injured Draco they eventually admit they’d been thinking of one another for years. Super hot hospital bed sex--Hermione on top is always a good thing!

Teal - Awwww....these two. The drama came, but they stayed sweet and fluffy, bound together through it. I kind of have a crush on Edward Sr., too. I like seeing these Masen men step up to the plate! 

Corie - I swear to god these two make me swoon. I can’t get enough of these kids and the love between them.
Merlin, Canon-era, Magic!, SLASH, MERTHUR
Emmy - So poor Arthur has been hit by yet another spell, but this one instead of making him act all loony in love for some random bird/princess is making him moon all over Merlin and say very naughty things to him... Merlin can’t help but not really want to reverse it, but he does try his best. But what happens when NONE of the antidotes have any effect? What if its not a love potion at all?....... Fabby fic, made me really chuckle at times and its sexy too. Merlin is adorable and clueless and Arthur is pained and beligerent and wanting very filthy things from his manservant. Perfect read for a bad day... READ IT!

Teal - Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeej!!! Where is Chele??? *looks around crazily* It’s your boys! 

Jen - oh mah gah. That is all.

Jen - I just love this fic from the Merlin kinkmeme. The language is gorgeous and gives an ethereal, mythic feeling to the historical setting. And that beautiful writing of course carries over into the longing they feel for one another and their sexytimes. So good. 

Emmy - I am both extremely happy and sad that this fic is complete. Totally adored this and how much Arthur and Merlin could communicate without language. Beautiful and amazing and just I NEED A SEQUEL//OUTTAKE. I Need to know about their new lives. Just fabby. The scenes with Arthur on his own desperately searching are SO well done. I just. Gah!

Corie - This historical story set in 12th century Scotland is what I’m currently reading and loving. The fire and intensity between E and B is so win. I’m about halfway through and so excited to see what lies ahead for these characters in this completed story.
Merlin, Complete, Merthur, non-magic
Jen - I hope I never tire of reading uptight!Arthur falls for utterly his opposite Merlin. This is another spawn of the Merlin kinkmeme. Lots of UST, some angst & misunderstandings, grand gestures, and a verrrry hot romp in Arthur’s bed. 

Emmy - I adored this when it was WIP on the fantastic KinkMeMerlinMeme. But I still had to reread when it was de-anon’d. Perfect fic is perfect!!!
Harry Potter, Complete, Draco/Hermione
Chele - A reflection on war, the toll it can take on a soul, and the way it can create a place for love and hope, this post-Hogwarts era fic is gritty, a bit dark, and completely awesome. Draco is working for the Order, fighting and planning battles against death eaters, alongside various members of the Order and DA who stay in safe houses in between missions. He is amazingly in character, harsh, rigid, and powerful, which makes it all the more awesome that a deep and believable connection develops between he and Hermione. Their connection seeps into the reader like warm sunshine through a winter window, driving away the coldness and desperation. When they find eachother physically, in addition to being scorchingly hot, it perfectly illustrates their changing needs and new bonds are forged through courage under fire. This fic will make your soul ache, your heart soar, and your pants disappear.

Nico - I’m lucky enough to pre-read for kdc2239 and this last chapter ropped me in. She always finds those quiet moments when they can enjoy themselves outside the crazy world that is happening around them and I always find myself wanting more and more of those sexy moments. :)

Emmy - Some days you need some fluffy yummy sweet fics of boys being boyfriends and cute and stuff. This is that fic!



Harry Potter - Harry/Draco

Chele - This story is intense and amazing. Post Hogwarts, Harry is having a spell of post-traumatic stress, and has isolated himself from his friends. One day, Draco comes down through the field to his house, and does the one thing that will give Harry the strength to overcome his inertia - treats him as just another man.
The chemistry between Draco and Harry is amazing, and as their friendship grows, and they both begin to heal, you can’t help but want to squish them together. It’s a bit haunting, and so very beautiful.



Twilight, Edward/Bella, O/S

Corie- This o/s is simply fantastic. It’s a beautiful look at love and sex and everything in between. The beauty of this O/S is the chemistry between characters. I just adore it.



Merlin, Modern AH, O/S, Sad n Sweet, SLASH, Merthur

Emmy - This is sad in parts and very sweet in parts. It has a warm afterglow type feel, which is when this fic is set. As Merlin tries to confront the scars of his past.



Game of Thrones, Jaime Lannister/Brienne of Tarth

Corie- I love me some Brienne of Tarth getting her dirty on and with a character I love to hate it’s even better. I love seeing her having these emotions and expressing herself so beautifully. It’s a quick lovely read that I feel really does Brienne justice.



Merlin, AH Modern, O/S, Dub-Con, cross-dressing? SLASH, Merthur

Emmy - This starts out feeling like Dub Con, but...... An intense fic, very well done!



One Direction, RPF, One Shot, Slash

Posy -Harry is afraid of a thunderstorm so he crawls into bed with Louis to cuddle. Cuddling isn’t enough to distract Harry from his fear and neither is Louis’ singing. But there’s something else that works. ;)

Chele - This is actually quite lovely and just the level of intensity that I can handle in this fandom of sweetness and boy.



Merlin, Canon-Era, O/S, SLASH, Merthur

Emmy - I love how oblivious Arthur is in this fic, even when you think FINALLY! (and so does Merlin), he’s still not quite got there... Very cleverly written, as we can see Arthur’s confusion and well-placed intentions and his escaping emotions....



Twilight, Bella/Edward, Complete

Corie-Hot damn this is a naughty fun read for sure. If you’re looking for something voyeuristic and full of HOLY SHIT moments this is your next read. I had such a good time with this story.




Merlin, Canon-era Magical, O/S (although I HOPE for more!), Knotting, SLASH, Merthur

Emmy - This yummmmy fic is part of a fest that marguerite 26 is currently hosting, < href=http://marguerite-26.livejournal.com/676665.html>Someone Being Naked Makes Them Do It Fest. There are some great fics, for various fandoms! Anyways this fic, has a kink that I think works super well in the Merthur fandom. As its a magical, ancient world... Anyways the kink is knotting. Magnolia822 does it very well. Unffity unf! Merlin’s curiosity/perving/fascination is just spot on. And the ending is perfect!

Posy - Oh yeah! Fun read and educational. ;)

Jen - I don’t think there’s a chapter of this story that has failed to captivate and enchant me. This futuretake has all of the mystery, magic, and lemons of the main story. Just delicious.

Jen - Summer, ice cream, and hot boys hot for one another. Yum.

Emmy - This is incredibly yum. And also highly evocative of a sultry summers day and the intense heat of of lust.

Jeanne - Tight, poetic prose that weave a spell that both stays faithful the tone of the show, while also expanding upon it. Here we see the intimate thoughts of Nasir as he reflects on his journey from body slave to freedom fighter, as well as from friend to lovers. This one shot is a beautiful and sexy introduction to one of my favorite fictional couples EVER.

Teal - Beach sex FTMFW!!! I am a beach girl through and through, so this fic makes me all sorts of swoony. There’s nothing more romantic than being with a new love on a secluded beach, the moonlight and sound of waves all around you. My head’s in the clouds over this fic! 

Corie- I was trying to be strong and wait for this one to complete before diving in but I think Teal just sold me. Guess I know what I’m reading tomorrow ;)
Game of Thrones, AU Future fic, Dany/Drogo


Jeanne - This drabble takes a quick look at a future where Dany and Drogo sailed across the sea to take back Westeros. The conquering king and queen celebrate their victory with a some light bondage and sweet love making. This little slice of heaven goes a long way to soothe the wounds left by canon. A must read for Drogo fans. 

Nico -When Jeanne mentioned this one I had to run and read it cause I am a HUGE Drogo fan and whew she was def telling the truth! I can only hope the author gives us more. :) 

Corie- Same for me this soothed some of my Drogo wounds and also gave me such a sweet glimpse at the what could have been. I love fic that shows me something I didn’t even know I was missing till I read it. Love seeing Dany in this much control and love again.

Nico -What could make traveling abroad better? How about some amazing unexpected sexin! Edward is attentive in all the right ways and then some. I love some of the little unexpected sexiness that she throws in there. :)

Emmy - Just a really lighthearted and fun wank fic. What more do you want really? Arthur gets caught wanking. Merlin is petulant. Merlin has to help him out. Both have fun! Magic!


Merlin, Modern AU, Novella Complete, Age Difference, SLASH, Merthur

Emmy - Don’t be skeeved by the Age Difference note. Yes Merlin is 15 in this, and Arthur is older, but he’s only of Uni age. But he is protective and a bit swoony. Merlin is adorable. Merlin had lived on the streets after losing all his family. So he’s not really able to cope first of all with the attention and luxury of life at the Pendragons after Uther takes him in. There are some darling scenes with Merlin, crying all over housekeeper Gwen when missing his mum. A schmoopy, fluffy fic of lovely.


Harry Potter - Hermione/Severus

Chele - This fic is amazing. Hermione is in a race against time to save the world from an impending magical event. Severus becomes her unlikely companion in research and life. The smut is desperate and intense. We’re almost to the end, and the last two chapters have completely blown my mind. So rare to find a good mystery/action in this genre, but this does it so very well. A quick read, but a full, rich story.

Jess - I’m still loving this story hard core. These two have something real and rich but it’s going to take a lot of digging to get out from under it all. Meanwhile, I’ll just bask in their afterglow. Corie- GAH these two are so full of win. I can’t get enough of how sweet and lovely they are yet how much heat and the pure sexual chemistry they have. I can’t wait to see how they make it all work.


Merlin, Canon-era AU, MAGIC, Complete, SLAVE FIC, SLASH, MERTHUR

Emmy - This fic is wonderful. I have a total thing for slave fics, especially when the slave is magical Merlin. I also need for a special bond to develop between master and slave, as that is so very canon with master and servant is it not? I love when Arthur is lenient and just and really good as he is in this fic. We see Arthur and Merlin grow up and develop an unshakeable bond, we see them both battle against torture and control of Merlin by others. We see them come together on the battlefield and in the bed. Its just WONDERFUL!

Jen - Edward gets a chance to prove himself to Bella, and oh, does he ever!

Emmy - This is one of those fics, that chances are if you are in the Merthur fandom you will have read. Its quite a seminal piece. It details the carnal rejoining of Arthur and Merlin on one of their many lives. And their pain of separation is so strong they cannot get close enough. They cannot feel enough. Enough lust, enough love, enough pain, enough ache, enough enough enough.... They make filthy messes of each other, come, sweat, bites, kisses, bruises. And its just blissful and so intense to read. A wonderful wonderful fic. That in someone else’s hands (pen?) would have read as PWP but as written by lillaw is so much more. A must read if you like smut, slash or SEX with feeelings!

Emmy -Poor Leon, probably the most loyal of all the knights, and yet he gets probably the least amount of love... Well thankfully Badjujuboo is around to rectify that and gives us a fluffy and smutty fic of epic yay! Featuring very healthy doses of size kink, cuteness and SMUT. What more could you want? Even if (like me) Leon fic is not normally your choice de jour, read this! 

Jen - Duuuudes. You should really read this. So good. I feel like I’ve become a complete and wanton slut for Merlin fic.

Emmy - Great use of language in this fic, it really helps set the scene - both of the era and of Arthur's need Love the trust between them - in particular Arthur's trust in Merlin to use his magic on him. More fic with fingers, more fic with PORN! A brillliant sexy fic! What more do you want?!

Teal - Oh, Peter. You’re such a good teacher. *panties explode* I wonder if he realizes the feelings he’s stirring in Emmett as well...

Corie- Once again I’m a sucker for a historic fic and the premise of this one drew me right in. Sir Edward is far from the shores of England on Queens business, he is newly married to a cold, callous woman. He never believed the stories of the Venice Courtesans and how tempting they were until he meets Isabella. Already some citrus to enjoy only 4 chapters in and I can’t wait to see where these characters are going!

Corie- This is a beautiful look at the pain Spartacus goes through trying to heal his heart and come to grips with the wants of flesh after the death of his wife Sura. The love for her is always there and we see him give in to his desires with an whore provided by the Ludus. This is suppose to take place during the first season and could almost be a lost moment. The primal need is so well done.

Jess - This chapter has been a long time coming (heh), and man, it blew me out of the water. Angry, pained sex disguised as broken, hurt sex that brings these two back together... now for the talking. So good!!

Jess - I’m pretty sure AngelGoddess1981 is trying to kill me. Good grief the chemistry between these two is INTENSE. I’m getting anxious about the shoe dropping... but maybe it won’t. GAH! Need more!!

Jess - There is nothing like high school/teenage love and first orgasms and oral lovin’ to pretty much rock your face off. This chapter was exceedingly well done and realistic, and as always, I cannot wait for more from this fic! 

Corie- One of my very fave WIP right now I can’t get enough of these two and I agree with Jess it's the realism that I love so much.

Jess - This was a beautiful glimpse into life years later for this beautiful couple. Let’s just say they still got it!  
Corie- It’s so hard to say goodbye to these 3 but MsKathy gave us such a beautiful sexy farewell.

Jen - Going to miss this family! Ditto to what Jess & Corie said.


AH, Complete 2 chapters, Charlie/Leah

Jeanne - OMFG!!! We all know I’m a giant hooker for Charlie and Leah, but GracieBlack’s version of these two is a special treat. I love the first chapter of this story and I feel spoiled that she gave us another, sex-o-licious chapter and an ending. This is so sweet, hot and awesome! 

Chele - Sweet, sappy, smut. Yum 

Jen - I think I screamed when I saw this alert. Like Jeanne said, this is the freaking cherry on top of the cake. Charlie is sooo sexy and Leah finally gets a fluffy hea! UNF!

Jess - I heard about this little gem on Twitter and I kid you not, the minute I started reading I was sucked in. Set in 1866, a very unfortunate event brings a brave young woman - widowed, pregnant, and with a little boy by her side - and a struggling soldier together. The writing will captivate you and never let you go. I read this entire thing--all twenty-three (now, thirty+) chapters--into the wee hours of the morning and am dying for more Soldier, always dying (despite the fact she has consistently updated more than once a day). GO READ!!! Seriously! The writing style is unique, very stream of consciousness, and can take some getting used to, but counselor packs SO much into very few words, balances humor with darkness, and will make you SWOOOOOON!

Corie - I resisted reading this at first but I gave in when I saw it rec’d in one of my fave historic fic authors a/n at the end of an update. I was blown away. There is a rawness in the characters that I love and the writing is beautiful. I can’t say enough about what a man this Edward is and how much I long for more characters like him. Like Jess I can’t get enough!

Harry Potter - Severus / Hermione

Chele - Hermione walks down the path to becoming a healer, and instead finds the way to put together the pieces of a beautiful, broken man. This fic is epic in both length and intensity. The level of thrall and underlying understanding between Hermione and Severus is a divine balance, and the level of heat in my pants from their attraction to eachother and Severus misanthropic sexiness in incendiary. Settle in for a long night when you crack the cover on this one. You won’t want to stop once you’ve started.

Merlin, Merlin/Arthur, OneShot

Posy - The men meet at a club and are in the middle of hook-up number 2 when Arthur finally asks the brunette what his name is. The random sex they start off having ends up being a lot less random and a lot more regular, until Arthur realizes that Merlin has a nice spot in his life.

Emmy - I’ve recc’d this before. But love this fic, and when I saw that Posy ^^^ recc’d this I had to reread. Yummy and flangsty. A fab follow up one shot is here!!!!!

We are given insight into a complicated man, heartbroken over the loss of his brother and starstruck by the beautiful, willful and courageous slave body, Nasir. This is a slow burn that quickly erupts into one of the most emotionally resonant and intensely erotic loves scenes I have read in a long time. These are men of strength and violence, in a moment of intimacy and love so profound it may move you to tears. FUCK, I love these men. *swoons*

Jess - I adore this story and have since chapter one! The tension between Emmett and Jasper is off the charts as Emmett’s tries to figure out all his confusing feelings. And good grief can we just say unf to Peter/Jasper. I know Teal is dying!!!

Teal - I’ve had a special place in my heart for Jasper/Emmett for quite some time, thanks to Chele, and the first time they kissed...gah! But right now, Jasper is coming into his own as an adorkable young gay man, and his learning experiences with Peter are making my pants sooooo happy. I always love to see my boys together, even though I know it will be temporary in this fic =)

Jen - I’m so happy for gamer Jasper to get some action and I’m really hoping witnessing said action wakes Emmett up. In the meantime, like the girls said- Jasper + Peter = yum.

Transformers, Sunstreaker/Sideswipe

Chele - Heart-Wrenching, action packed epic Transformers fic of love, war, and mech-cest (it’s complicated, but lovely). The accidental sparking of Sunny and Side’s progeny stirs humans’ mass-paranoia of alien invasion. The Autobots closely examine the costs of love, and hope for the future during a seemingly never-ending war. Desperate times makes for intense love.

Merlin, AH, Modern (British), Novella Complete, Homophobia/Bullying, Uni Fic, SLASH, MERTHUR

Emmy - Gah. I ADORE this fic!!! Its 45k long, which is longer than some Merlin fics. But its a SUPER quick read. Merlin goes off to Cambridge full of hope and happiness, and pride at getting into Oxbridge. Leaving his shitty comprehensive school and being the odd one out behind... He quickly loves Uni life, and quickly loves his new friends, especially Queens College golden balls boy Arthur. Who seems to be a raging homophobe. Ah. Will coming out ruin everything? Will coming out ruin it forever? Some intense fucking and playing around. Especially when severely in the closet Arthur is drunk late at night at Merlins … Unfffff. Serious tension, such as when Arthur sees Merlin with hot Rugger-Bugger Lee.... Fabbity fab fic!

Jeanne - Nasir is sixteen and he has been in love with his brother’s best friend, Agron for years. The object of his obsession has returned home from his first year in college, finally giving Nasir a chance to confess his feelings. The adorable, awkward hotness that follows will delight any lover of slash fic. You don’t have to watch Spartacus to enjoy the delightful little one shot.

Jen - Listen to Jeanne! I have not gotten to watch Spartacus yet, but this ficlet has me begging for more.

Jess - I could pretty much kiss Corie for passing on this story. Good grief I don’t even know where to begin - Bella, a nineteen year old college student out to lose her virginity, is shy and not, aggressive and not, and it’s completely endearing. Edward, a very sexy (as if he could be anything else, just the way we like him) male escort, is out to make sure Bella has a good time. In the process though, something much more intense and profound and freaking hot happens! I read all ten chapters in about an hour. This story will suck you and hold you in its clutches until you’re done and BEGGING for more!

Corie - GAH this story makes my toes curl. Seriously the passion and heat between these two is off the charts. The premise is interesting and the author is doing a beautiful job of showing us how possible it can be to fall in lust and love in one single night together.

Game of Thrones, AU, O/S, Sansa Stark/Gendry Waters

Jeanne - Well shit, this sold me on one of the most unlikely ships. I love how plausible this scenarios could be in canon and especially how the author handles the issues with Arya. Sansa’s innocence isn’t overstated and Gendry’s adorably hesitant. Together their fumbling first time is as charming as it is hot. These two have totally won my heart.

Corie - There is such a beauty in this of Sansa’s past mingling in to her night with her new husband. It lends to a such a true connection with her as a character and I love how light he felt in this one. Thanks for the great rec Jeanne!

Merlin, AH, Modern, O/S, SLASH, MERTHUR

Emmy - This story is at times angsty. Merthur, down on his luck and broke, has to take a job he really would rather not. Working for his ex-boyfriend of two years - Arthur. Although Arthur seems well over their break-up, Merlin really is not! So getting off with him in Arthur’s swimming pool is clearly NOT a good idea......

Posy - Oh wow!

Jess - Yet again, spanglemaker9 has captivated me in a way that I’m still speechless over. What started out as a simple Abba contest entry turned into a five-chapter ficlet that tells a love story within a love story. It is one of the most beautifully written stories I’ve read in a long time. Plus... there’s hot library/carrel sex... I mean come on!

Corie - I am in the middle of reading this right now after Jess’s rec and I have to say I love the character voice and the tension. I might be listening to Abba right now lol.

Emmy - I always love everything that spanglemaker9 writes, and this novella was no exception. As always she has breathed life into an Edward and Bella and made them all of her own. An intriguing story, mixed in with killer UST and smoulders.

Spartacus, AU, O/S, Spartacus/Ilithyia

Corie - So this week Jeanne popped my Spartacus fic cherry with some amazing Argon/Nasir fic. While we were talking she brought up this pairing of Spartacus and Ilithyia and I have to say the idea of it had me intrigued right away. I could see where the hate behind the relationship could lend to so much passion. I see so many possibilities for these two. This story was an entry in the 2nd annual Kink Meme and I feel it encompassed all of that hate and passion I was looking for. I loved the texture and feel of this story. I have to say if you enjoy the idea of this pairing this something to take a look at for sure!

Jeanne - You’ve got a good hate!fuck and no one does it quite like these two. This is the awesome of Kink Memes. Daring authors travel territory that is dark and treacherous, but also sexy as fucking hell. This is a totally believable missing moment. The connection between these two is palpable when you watch the show, and in this one shot we see a satisfying (wink) ending to a tease of a scene in canon. UNF!

One reason I love reading vamp stories is the carnal element they can bring to a plot and this story not only delivers that it exceeds any expectations I had. The raw want and drive between characters makes the most mundane tasks feel like sex. I can’t say enough about this story.

Jeanne - Nothing says love and devotion like letting your boyfriend fuck your face. Here we see the aggressive side Nasir. He may be small, but what he lacks in stature he more than makes up in courage and pure fucking balls. After all, he isn’t going to stand by and watch some new guy muscle in on his man. FUCK! I love this story. I love the passion and almost desperate edge to their sex. I love how Agron gives, and allows Nasir to take what he needs. I love that this is hard, raw and graphic, but that is what makes it so emotional too. That the depth of their love for each other is expressed in this viciousness, this brutal, but still somehow beautiful way.

Corie - I am a newbie to this fandom but I am blown away by the attention to detail that this story had in it. I love any jealousy fic it's one of my kinks and this delivers big time. Seeing this warrior that I can see in Nasir come out for the love of his man got me so good. There is a line about the texture of Agrons scruff on Nasir that did me. I love the dynamic here.

Chele - Intense, emotional, and wickedly hot. Nasir is not only jealous, but possessive in a base and desperate way.

Jess - Cockyback cracks me up... every time! This chapter is full of epic craziness, zany love poems, and some very hot library lemons! Go! You know you want to!

Jen - I’ve adored this fic since I came across a teaser back in the fall. I love broken, but healing, soldier Edward, and Bella’s pretty kick ass too. Amazing/fun/annoying as hell James is a bonus. Edward experiences an all too human moment when he and Bella finally get intimate. I’m so glad the authors decided to write an atypical lemon, as opposed to a rainbows & unicorns first time. I expect (hope!) they’ll have a lot of fun working toward the perfect sexual experience.

Jess - I’ve been on a serious AU kick lately, and I spent a good couple of days reading Ro’s latest fic. I cannot tell you how much I’ve enjoyed this story. As always, the lemons are tasteful and appropriate and great!!

Emmy - I have been such a fan of this story, for the way she has improved on canon and made this Edward seem so real. I think one of the other strengths to this story is how Bella’s undying and unyielding love for Edward makes much more sense in this than in the original Saga. Does exactly what AU fics should do!!! Perfect.

Corie - I have to say HUGE fan of this one the way she weaves in canon, I love but it’s completely her own story. We get the best of both human Edward and vamp and I adore it.


Harry Potter - Harry/Draco, Slash

Posy - This four part series is HAWT! Draco walks in on Harry buggering Neville and realizes that there might actually be a possibility that his crush on Harry could become something. Being the Slytherin that he is, Draco takes advantage of the situation setting up private lessons to help teach Harry more about sex, but doesn’t take into consideration how his own feelings might be affected. On top of the sex is a conflicted Draco, which I can rarely resist.

Chele - You had me at Harry buggering Neville.


Spartacus, AU, Nasir/Agron, Slash

Jeanne - Agron is a werewolf! *this is the sound of Jeanne jizzing her pants so hard she loses consciousness for a second* This is a gorgeous AU ending of the current season where Nasir is badly wounded in the battle with the Romans and Agron has to reveal a long hidden secret about himself in order to save his lover. Jeanne - Game of Thrones is back on tv, which means I’m diving back into the fic. Here we look into a possible future for Gendry and Arya. After the war, scars have not healed, but Gendry does what he can to love the damaged shewolf. This one shot is lyrical and heartbreaking. It shows all of what I love about this pairing. How Gendry’s strength and stubborn determination to protect Arya (even from herself) is the key to opening her heart and healing her wounds. *swoon*

What does he want or need from a companion? Just fabulous! Read it!

Jeanne - I have a kink for sex robots. I have no fucking idea how Emmy knew, but sweet baby jebus am I glad she rec’d me this fic. It is hot, hilarious and AWESOME!

Corie - HOLY SWEAR WORD. The amount of love I have for this story is out of control it makes all those feelings from my early teen years come right back. With this update we have some citrus and even with the cliffy cockblock it was fantastic. Those first touches stay with you forever and Maggie’s Gutter does such a fantastic job of putting us right there in that moment.

Nico - Holy Swear Word is right! I was transformed right back into highschool. I can’t wait to see how and when these two take it to the next step. :)

Jess - I want to say all the swear words, especially the dirty ones. Love love love this story.

This and my next recc both have my fave kink of comeplay in. Such fun! This one? This one has Arthur well and truly abuse Merlin’s poor litte arse. But its ok! Its all consensual and Merlin might just be enjoying it more than Arthur. Well maybe....

Jess - I debated for a long time whether or not to put this update on the LR this week because this isn't the typical lemon we often flail over, but in the end I decided that it was simply a must. This story has me so choked up and brokenhearted right now (WussPervs, this one definitely isn’t for you), and the last half of this particular update about ripped open my heart. It’s not like I didn’t know something like this was coming, but now that’s it happened, in the way it’s happened... it just hurt so bad. Some lemons are full of romance and tenderness... this isn’t one of those... This one is so intensely full of desperation, hurt, need, love...that it’s painful to read, and that is truly a testament to how amazing VampiresHaveLaws' writing is and how compellingly she tells this story.

Corie - Kills me.  Seriously makes me hug my husband so hard but yes this lemon is beautifully heart breaking and these characters rip my heart out.

Emmy - Like the fic above this fic was originally an anonymous fill to a kinkmeme prompt. But the author, the fabbio Hermette de-anon’d and posted it to her own LJ page. This is one of those things that the Merlin fandom seems to do like no other. By golly does it embrace its kinks and do so magnificently. But it also manages to combine tender and beauty with pure filth! How?! How?! I know not. (except I think for the fantastic quality of writing!)

Jeanne - Another short exploration into the future of Arya and Gendry. Here we see through Gendry’s eyes. We see Arya’s scars and her hidden pain. We see his need to help and secret vow to make every person who has ever harmed her pay in blood. UNF!

Chele - I can’t believe that this is even hotter and more real than I anticipated. I’m aching for Emmett, wondering what the future can bring for these three with such a lopsided triad, but it’s so hot and so sweet and wonderful. God I Love This Fic.

Jen - This story pretty much leaves me speechless. I bow before the goddesses who are MyLifeandHis and SadTomatoFF.

Chele - Aurette continues to be an author that never disappoints. This fic is a murder mystery with a sexually aware Hermione at the helm. The chemistry between Severus and Hermione is insane, and their intimacy left me breathless. Such a great pairing, so perfectly done, with all the plotty stuff that makes it exemplary.

Nico - This story recently completed and I am sad to see it go. Edward was just such a great mix of sweet, sexy, and just a little bit cocky that I wanted to steal him all for myself. :)

Game of Thrones/ASoIAF, Jaime/Brienne, AU, Spoiler Warning: Spoilers for Books 1-3 of the A Song of Ice and Fire series

Jeanne - If you are only familiar with the Game of Thrones tv series this pairing and the story may not make a whole lot of sense to you. However, if you’ve read into Book 3 of the series then this pairing should be canon in your brain, like it is in my mind and heart.

*gives everyone a hard look* I mean it, it is canon, I don’t care what anyone else says, damn it!
Here we get a fun look at a happier ending for the characters of the series, and specifically for Jaime and Brienne, who are both trying to figure out where they fit in a post-war Seven Kingdoms. Two things I love the most about this fic are how the author brings a maturity to Brienne that I hope to see manifest in canon, and she captures the banter between these two that won my heart in the first place. When the UST that has been building between these two for three (fucking) books finally, Finally, FINALLY erupts it is almost too brief, but refreshingly realistic. This fic fits into canon, and in my pants.

Chele - I’m still slipping into this fandom kicking and screaming. These characters are just so lush in canon, and I love how authors are able to build on that. Brienne is feisty and sexy and strong, and Jaime.... well... he’s a bastard, but I love him. So much hotness here.


AU, Complete, E/B

Jen - bmango’s vamp universe is like nothing else you’ve read in this fandom. I don’t know that I’d call it UST, but there’s a lot of longing between Edward and I’sabel. Now that the duty of the title has been fulfilled, there’s finally time for them to come together. It’s a romantic fairy tale, with a wonderful conclusion.

Jess - I have loved every single update of this story. Some are heart hurty, some of just so full of fun, and others, like chapter 48 are so insanely hot I was speechless. When I said theladyingrey42 slayed me. I meant it. GO. READ. THIS. STORY. So perfectly adorable and unf!

Emmy - Yeah. I love this. Such an adorable couple who deserve a hea. For ever.

Jen - Where will I get my daily dose of happy when this is over? Where? So delicious.

Jeanne - You gotta a love a fandom where slash is canon. UNF! Loras and Renly have a tumultuous story in the canon, but here we (and they) get a brief respite from politics to just enjoy the simple joy of being in love. If you’re familiar with the books (or tv series) or not, this is still a (bitter) sweet story of two young men expressing their love for each other. Plus you gotta love some romantic buttsex. *happy whore sigh*

Jeanne - Here we have a peek into a possible past shared between a champion and stylist. It is short, but packed with emotional depth and passion. One night, shared between two men for very different worlds, but who feel a strong connection. The sex is as desperate and intense as any battle in the arena. It left me aching and with a sad smile on my face. Slash fans, read this right the fuck NOW!


AU, Edward/Leah

Jeanne - If you are an Edward/Leah fangirl and you haven’t been following this fic you are missing out. Here we have an alternative universe where Edward has become a vampiric vigilante. His main focus being a certain blond vampire that he has a very personal issue with. Things get sticky for this delightfully snarky Edward when the Volturi discover what he is up to, and then he runs into a certain sassy shewolf that we know and love. This is a wild ride of a fic, but at its heart it’s about two very different creatures finding that they have more in common than they ever had imagined.

Jen - This story. I don’t even know what to say. Just read it. Intense, sexy, lots of longing. Eight perfect chapters.

Jess - I’m still flailing so hard over this story. I just... I seriously need an epi for the epi. Do you hear that IdPattThat?? xoxo


Arthur/Gwaine, Merlin/Gwaine, Merlin/Arthur/Gwaine, but really it’s all about Merlin/Arthur, O/S

Posy -There is a page over on LJ called High School Merlin. I was pulled over there by a friend to read this story by Anon. I did a little digging, and thanks to OnTheTurningAway I found out that this story was written by onelittlesleep. This is an amazing bit of raw loveliness. I want to worship at her feet. Be warned though, this could be classified as dubcon, the guys are in high school, and also Arthur and Merlin are brothers, but not brothers that grew up together. In fact, they just found out about each other when Merlin moved in with his uncle because his mom is in hospital. I realize those are a lot of hard limits for people, but I didn’t feel squicked out in the least. In fact, the ending made me want to read more and more about these guys. Part of that may have been that the entire story is told through Gwaine’s eyes. So great! Go read!

Ok, ok, that’s kind of glib, because Bella and Edward really do love one another. Things are looking kind of bleak at the moment but I have faith in their survival skills.

Corie- There is not a WIP on my LONG list that has imagery done as well as this story for me. I adore this historical fic. The use of color and season to move each chapter along is divine. I LOVE a well done AU vamp and I’m also a sucker for history stories so this one is such a perfect blend for me. This week we finally get a taste of the citrus variety between E/B and it left me panting for more. I adore this Edward he’s suave and refined but the monster is lurking under every movement. There are some great scenes of him unleashing that monster too. This is a must read for me.

Jen - I saw this mentioned on twitter a few times on Monday and wanted to check it out. Definitely on my list now- can’t wait to have a minute to start reading it!


Complete, AU, AH, E/B

Corie- I’m halfway through reading this story and I’m in love. It’s smart and well excuted. The UST is out of this world and the emotions run so high. I have to say Derdiru oFaolain does such a superb job at weaving a complex story and never making the reader struggle to focus on the details. I love the difference in character use and I just read the first lemon and its touching and beautifully written. I am so enjoying this and can’t wait to see how its all plays out!

Emmy - I've been on a self inflicted embargo of this fic. Waiting for the HF to end. So now I have it's few chapters to devour!!! Such storytelling and complex and captivating characterisations. So good. Edwards desperation kills me!

Teal - Oh hot damn. They’re back together. Time has been weird and wonderful to these characters, but they’re finally getting to be exactly where the need. So happy for them, and loving the hot, awesome sex we get out of it!

Corie- Oh so happy too Teal seriously these moments of them together and happy are fantastic. I can’t wait to see more of that.

Nico-This is one of those stories that gets me talking to my computer, well not in a crazy way but a good way! I’m so excited for these two and waiting/make up sex is always hot! :)

Teal - After all this time and the crazy progress Edward and Bella have made in such a short period of time, she is finally a vampire! Appropriately so, we get hot newborn vampire sex, and it does not disappoint at all. Also, all of Edward’s mushy, sweet, lovey dovey feelings are totally great!

Emmy - Gah I still have this chapter to read! one of my all time faves AU.
