It's time for the bi-monthly contest announcements. Here are the two most recent additions, sorted by earliest ending date:

Love Through Lemons Contest - Submission deadline July 20

We all love Twilight LOVE, we all love Twilight LEMONS. How easy is it to convey one without the other? Show us! We’re hosting a contest for stories that powerfully communicate love through smut. The rules are simple:

• No use of the word "love" or any synonyms (i.e. adore, worship, anything else you find on thesaurus(dot)com). That also means no references to lovey feelings or even thoughts of saying "I love you."
• All pairings welcome
• M Rating required
• 5,000 word limit
• To enter, send a PM with the link to your story to either LolaShoes or tby789
• Contest entries must be received no later than July 20, 2009 12:01AM PST
• Winner to be announced on or about August 8th, in the Twigasm Podcast
• Winning entry to be featured on the Perv Pack's Smut Shack
• Entries will be validated and the winner chosen by a group of judges based on originality, grammar, technical merit and success of representing theme.

Tattward and Inkella One-shot Contest - Submission deadline 7/31

WANTED: On the hunt for a good Tattward. Piercings a bonus. Can't be a stoner, a drunk or fuck anything and everything that moves. All applicants apply within.

Okay, so we don't want our Badassward all virginal (though a good Corruptableward is always fun...), but, honestly, we can only read so many fics where Edward is a tattoo artist that gets high, fucks and drinks himself into oblivion. Thus the need for a Tattward & Inkella One-Shot Contest. We're on the hunt for something new...

We do so love our Edwards decorated, though... You know, hot, buff, a well-placed tat (or ten), a nipple ring, tongue ring ~ maybe a Prince Albert if that's your bag (snort)... Just purdy him up real nice and SHARE, m'kay?

How this is gonna go down (snicker)

• All submissions will be screened to ascertain that the requirements have been met. Any that do not will be immediately disqualified.
• All entries will be read and voted on by a small panel of judges where the selections will be narrowed down to the top five per fifteen fics entered (i.e. for thirty fics entered, there would be ten in the final running). The top entries will be put up for a public vote, with a placement for the top three fics.

What do ya get if ya win?

First place winner will be featured on The Perv Pack's Smut Shack. You'll also get bragging rights. Maybe some fake tattoos. And, if you're lucky, some man meat inspired by your fic.

Requirements:

• No Drug Use.
• Must be well-beta'd ~ fics not meeting a minimum standard of grammar usage will be disqualified (for example, proper use of there/their/they're, staying in one tense, spelling, etc). If you are unsure of your abilities, get a beta. Or two. Anyone needing assistance finding a beta, please contact Project Team Beta for help.
• Open to all pairings.
• Must be M-rated.
• No underage submissions will be accepted. If you can't buy porn (18+), you shouldn't be writing it either.
• Main character(s) must have some sort of body art (i.e. tattoos, piercings, etc).
• No rape, incest or mutilation will be accepted.
• Must be a one-shot and must be a new story.
• Entries must have a minimum of 2,500 words, maximum words 10k.
• One-shot cannot be continued until the contest is complete.
• Contest entries must be received no later than July 31, 2009 12:01AM CST
• Public vote will be started on or about August 7, 2009, ending August 14, 2009 at 12:01AM CST
• All entries must be posted on Fanfiction.net. Once your story has been posted, please submit the link via PM for entrance into the contest.
• We reserve the right to make minor adjustments to dates and/or rules should that become necessary.

TwiSlash One-shot Contest - Submission deadline 8/15

1. Contest is open to everyone, including TwiSlash authors.
   
2. All entries will be anonymous to encourage unknowns to post their stories without being intimidated. Not accusing anyone of being all mafia like, but it's hard to post against well known slash authors without feeling a bit intimidated.
   All entrants are welcome to promote the contest itself, but not their own story. Stories may not be published/posted on any site other than the TU FFnet page until the commencement of the voting and the announcement of the winner for the category entered. THIS INCLUDES TEASERS OF ANY SORT!
   Any entrant that deviates from this rule will be disqualified and their story removed from the contest. In addition, they will not be permitted to enter the subsequent contests.
   
3. All entries must be a one-shot with a 5k to 10k word limit and must be free of any major spelling and grammatical errors.
   Entries not meeting these requirements will not be accepted.
   Entries may NOT be an outtake of a current story nor can it have been entered into any other contest. This is to ensure anonymity.
   
4. All entries must be geared towards the category being showcased. There are 4 categories and each category will have a winner.

5. A new contest will be held every three months with a different category showcased in each contest. This will allow for ample time for plot development, beta-ing and voting. The next contest's category will be announced when the current category's winner is announced.
   The first contest will be open beginning July 1st and we will accept entries until August 15th. Voting will begin on August 16th and will continue until August 31st. Winners will be announced on September 3rd.
   The second contest will open beginning October 1st and continue to November 15th. Voting will begin on November 16th and end on November 30th.
   The third contest will open beginning January 1st and continue to February 15th. Voting will begin on February 16th and end on February 28th.
   The fourth contest will open beginning April 1st and continue to May 15th. Voting will begin on May 16th and end on May 31st.
   
6. All stories must include a developed PLOT. This means a beginning, a middle and an end. Smut for Smut's sake will NOT be accepted. Otherwise we'd just read Penthouse Letters and be done with it. Slash, in our opinions, isn't just the act of same sex intercourse but the emotions that go along with it. We want mature stories, not just porn.
   
7. All entries must include a full fledged lemon that includes slash of some variety. We are TwiSLASH for a reason.

Procedures

• All entries must be submitted via email to twislash@gmail.com.
  While the contest is anonymous to the public, please be sure to include the following in your submission.

  • Link to FFnet account
  
  
• All entries will be read and validated by TU and the stories that have met the contest criteria will be posted to the TwiSlash Unveiled FFnet account.
  After the commencement of the contest and the announcement of the winner, Entrants are free to add their stories to their individual FFnet accounts.
  
• Voting will be done by Reader's Choice in a blind poll on the TwiSlash Unveiled FFnet account.
  
• Special awards will be given by the TwiSlash ladies.
  Special Award categories may or may not include Best Lemon, Best Kiss, etc.
  These awards will be given at our discretion and any story entered by a TU author will not be eligible for these awards.
  
• The winner's story will then be showcased on the TwiSlash Unveiled blog and the author will have the opportunity to choose a story to review as a guest reviewer. In addition, the winner will be given a button to sport in their signature!
  
• All winners will be added to the TwiSlash Unveiled Favorite Stories and Favorite Authors.
