My Yellow Brick Road
Edward is a lonely artist struggling to find his path. Can he find his way through his art, his ink, and his muse?
This story was originally an entry for the Tattward and Inkella contest. And really, who doesn't love Tattward?
Lovely Diana has an incredible way with words. The story behind this drew me in completely. We have poor Edward who has had to completely rearrange his plans and his life to take care of his brother after his parents are tragically killed. But he handles it like the amazing man he is.
He is an artist and with Jasper's help, is able to keep at the art he loves while still providing for his brother. Enter Bella, who he meets at a local coffee house. They bond over their love of art and become fast friends.
The delicious bit of lemony goodness that the two succumb to at the end is not just sex. Before it happens, Edward shares something with Bella that he's not shared with anyone else and it leads to something beautiful.
My little review here does not do the story justice. Read it for yourself and see.
She followed its path up along the photograph, where it lined the right side of my back. As she traced the spiral of jagged bricks arranged on my shoulder blade in the picture, she said, “You people with hearts have something to guide you, and need never do wrong.”

Great choice, Steph! I fell in love with this one when she gave me a little sneak peek and the beautiful imagery Di created was spectacular. Very deserving of a PPSS shoutout.
