I saw this fic tweeted about by Nikki_BU and she said it had a Drummerward in it. Who am I do deny musical fuckhotness? So, I scrambled and found the fic and started reading and I really was hooked from the beginning.

Bella is witty and funny and just plain on FUN and it's nice to enjoy her character. And Edward...well, Edward is Edward. *swoon*

I loved the musical aspect woven into the fic and enjoyed the ride she took us on. The friction between B/E at the beginning was delicious - all this awesome UST that you knew was going to break eventually. And break it did! The smexin' is uber hot without being raunchy, and continues that way through the end of the fic.

Warning: Chapter 9-12 get a little rough, but I promise (I PROMISE!!!) it's worth it to get through them and forge ahead. The bonus? She just posted the epi, so you've got a completed fic with an HEA.


I read Maybe on Bri's recc... nothing to do with hearing it was DrummerWard, nosirreeee, nothing whatsoever... ;)

The chemistry at the beginning of this story killed me - absolutely set me alight. But following the trajectory of a real relationship that chemistry gives way to more depth, more reality, more love. Now my fellow Wusspervs, Bri had me questioning her sanity at a couple of points during this story. . I was thinking, this is Wuspperv friendly? OUCH! BUT - of course Bri - was right, the angst passes quickly, happily AND sexily! PHEW! Wussperv meltdown over! :D

The sexy times are well sexy. Scrummy delish whether they be soulful and deep or fast and furious - this horny Bella and DrummerWard know how to work each other in all the right ways, to their own special rhythm - makes for a very tasty read... But there is lots more to the story than just sexing each other like mad groupies. To me the ultimate romantic - I love a story where the ending leaves me so happy & warm I could have consumed a bowl of treacle sponge pudding and custard. I call it my pudding test - I know pudding to you Americans is a creamy jelly-like thingy mablob, but to us Brits a pudding is a hot sponge or suet dessert that is warm, comforting and sweet. A good romantic story will leave me feeling like I have ingested a huge bowl of it. Warm and satisfied and often wishing I had another bowl or spoonful or two to devour. I call it my treacle pudding test. Maybe deffo passes the treacle pudding test :D I loved the happy ending - it felt very right for this Bella & Edward. (as an aside - can I just tell you how much I love him being called Mase or Masen - *SIGH*). Anyways - beware of a couple of angsty chapters but fear not - it all turns out sweet & satisfying - with some hot lemony goodness along the way! (oh & look out for that tattoo scene - you'll know the one when you get to it. I'd been dying for that to happen since much earlier in the story!)


Chapter 9-12 made me curl into the fetal position. Nina does not do angst well. Being fan of the 107 year old virgin's other work made this one a must read. Bri gave us the final nudge nudge when she said it had an HEA and was complete!

I love this Bella so very much, she holds her own and doesn't relent like a lot of other characterizations do. Musical Edward is always a win in my book and this was doesn't disappoint. She marries subtle canon traits with a more modernized version of the characters and it's really a great balance.

UST for the win. I love it, all the wusspervs love it and we really embrace it when the author pulls of the culmination as well as she does. Having bouts of UST and then shitty lemons is a total buzzkill but with Maybe, you're not wanting more.
