Twilight in the Roaring Twenties Contest - ends 01/01/2010

An era competition of the 1920s. A time of jazz, bootleggers, mobsters, and Edward-Fcking-Cullen.

Hosted by: Thedarknessofthemoon, Jessica0306, and Littlelea05

Deadline for submissions: New Years. Jan 1, 2010. 12:01 PST

This competition is to explore the times of the 1920's, during the time "Edward was new born". However, it does not have to follow the books. The point of the contest is to explore the Twilight Saga in the Twenties.

It doesn't not have to be canon; AH or Vamp will be accepted. If enough entries are accepted, we will split the voting into two categories of AH and Vamp.

All submissions will be reviewed by the moderators of the contest and submitted into the C2 for approval. All moderators of the contest have the right to refuse any entries they feel do not comply with the rules of this contest.

Requirements:

  • Must contain themes of the 1920's.
  • Must comply with Twilighted standards of spelling and grammar. Betas are strongly encouraged.
  • Submissions from those who are under 18 will not be accepted.
  • This must be a one-shot and cannot be continued until after the contest.
  • Word requirement of 5k-15K. Does not include header.
  • There are no specifics on POV and all categories (AUH, AH, Canon, OOC) will be accepted.
  • Mature content is allowed, but not required. However, it should not be your driving force. Any entries that are just smut for the sake of smut will not be accepted. There must be a story line/plot.
  • No stories containing rape, pedophilia or incest will be accepted.
  • Contest entries are now being accepted until Jan 1, 2010.

Voting:

  • Winners will be chosen in two categories: Reader's Choice and Judges' Pick.
  • All entries must be posted on Fanfiction.net. Once your story has been posted, please submit the link via PM for entrance into the contest.
  • All entries must feature the following heading:

The ‘Make it Work!’ Contest - ends 1/14/2010

The ‘Make it Work!’ Contest is a contest of collaborations – in real life and on the page. The purpose of this contest is to collaborate with your peers to create a story the deals with collaborating. During this time of year, we are all reminded to put aside our differences and this contest is to remind us all of that and to hopefully promote it into the new year.

Rules

  • Stories must have at least two authors and at most four.
  • Stories must follow this simple plot: the two main characters have some kind of conflict and must work together to reach the desired end result.
  • This contest is anonymous therefore the authors of the stories MUST remain anonymous until voting is complete and the winners have been announced.
  • Stories must be between 5,000 and 20,000 words in length.
  • Stories must a one-shot, meaning that the story is contained within one body of text and/or one chapter. Stories may be continued after the contest is complete and the winners have been announced.
  • All stories must be rated M, but DO NOT have to contain any smut/lemons/limes, although they are allowed.

Love "The make it work" idea for a contest, especially with all the crap that's been happening online.
Thanks for posting the contests :)
