The Perv Pack's "An Officer and a Gentleman" Contest

The Pack loves a man (and woman!) in uniform, whether Military, Police, Fireman, or Spy. There’s just something about someone in uniform that gets us going. There seems to be a lack of these fics in the fandom lately. We want them, we want them hard. Thus the An Officer and a Gentleman contest was born. Join us in celebrating all those that serve, and look mighty fine doing it.

Rules:

-one-shot (o/s) story must feature at least one main character (may be male or female) in the service. This includes; Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Law Enforcement (Police, Sheriff, SWAT, FBI, CIA, etc..), Firefighter, Forest Ranger, Mountain Rescue, Foreign Military and Law Enforcement (Royal Marines, Mounties, MI5, etc..). Basically, anyone that wears a uniform and carries a weapon. If we’ve missed a profession you would like to include please contact us.

-Smut is not required but appreciated, as is UST (unresolved sexual tension).

-Must be an o/s that is a NEW story. Your story cannot be continued until the contest is over. In addition, your entry cannot be a side-shot or outtake from any on-going/completed fic. It has to be a stand alone/original piece.

-Your story's word count must be between 3000-7500 words, not including mandatory header. Please stay in this word limit range. Entries that do not fall within this range will be disqualified.

-Entries can be Vamp, Human, Slash, AU, anything your mind can come up with.

-There are no genre requirements, however, stories with themes of rape, incest, pedophilia, mutilation, torture, kidnapping, or forced submission will NOT be accepted. This includes physical/verbal/sexual abuse disguised as smut. If it isn't clearly consensual, we are absolutely not interested. And just in case this isn't obvious, no smut when one is in the shape of a wolf!

-Please consider spelling, grammar, and character development. Entries with too many grammatical/punctuation/spelling/sentence structure errors will not be accepted. Betas are beautiful people, get to know one.

-Collaborations are acceptable.

-Maximum of 2 entries per person/collab. If you collaborate with someone, that counts as one of your entries. You can do two solo entries, one collab and one solo, or two collabs.

-All entries must be posted on http://www.fanfiction.net/ Once you have posted your story, submit the link via a private message to "An Officer and a Gentleman" profile for entrance into the contest and C2.

-We reserve the right to alter or change these rules as we see fit, including entry deadline, voting timeframe and winner announcement.

Submission Time Period and Voting:

Entries will be accepted starting December 5th until midnight (EST) January 9th.

Public voting will begin January 11th. End date TBD, depending on the number of entries received and the number of voting rounds required.

Judging and Categories:

All submissions will be validated by members of the judging panel to ensure they meet all contest rules. Stories which do not meet requirements will be disqualified.

There will be multiple winners of this contest:

1) Readers Choice Winner will win by popular vote via a public blind poll.

2) The panel of judges (The Perv Pack) will also select winning stories. Categories include, but are not limited to:

-Judges Individual Choice
-Best Use of Uniform: incorporation of the theme into the story.
-Hottest Serviceward/sper/mett/lisle.
-Steamiest Smut
-Most Luscious Non-Lemon (UST)

Winners:

The winners from both the public poll and judges' selections will be announced on the Perv Pack's Smut Shack. Date of announcement TBD.

All winners will have their stories featured on the Perv Pack's Smut Shack and will receive a special banner.
